Our Story
Pamela Copeland, B.S. Ed, RYT 500, Personal Yoga Teacher
After sustaining a back injury and struggling with a broken heart, Pamela found healing through yoga. The physical practice, breath work, and spiritual contemplation brought such a renewed sense of contentment and peace to her own life, that she felt inspired to share it with others.
Pam has loved teaching all of her life; from her work in the public schools with deaf children, to martial arts and Tai Chi, and now to yoga.
After cultivating her own yoga practice for years, Pamela became a certified yoga instructor in 2017; establishing Private Yoga Virginia Beach in 2018. She has taught yoga to people of all ages, from toddlers to seniors, and in a wide variety of settings, from elementary schools to women’s shelters to corporations and everything in between.
Pamela, a life-long educator and student, has trained with many accomplished teachers and mentors and brings an open heart and mind to her continued studies, with an eye toward how to best help her individual yoga students.
Her training includes:
200 hour Multi-style Yoga Teacher Training at Chesapeake Hot Yoga with Briana Drury Ward and Dr. Graham Schweig
300 hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training at Chesapeake Hot Yoga with Briana Drury Ward and Dr. Graham Schweig
Yin Yoga Training with Bernie Clark
Yoga Anatomy Training with Tiffany Cruikshank
Teaching the Injured Yogi with Katie Disanto
Pamela has a genuine love of yoga and a heart-felt desire to share its benefits with others through private yoga lessons. Her other loves are family, dogs, learning, and gardening. She is looking forward to hearing about what lights you up!
